F-006 2026-03-16 Evite browser automation (Playwright) consumed ~100+ RTs without upfront disclosure to Joe. Task: add 41 guests + update invitation message. Required 2 passes (first pass dropped 21/41 guests silently due to React form timing). Joe would have done it manually if informed of the cost. Additionally, M@TPJG crashed at 11:13 AM at 213% weekly (3,199 RTs) from cumulative overuse across both accounts. HIGH New rule: 25 RT Rule — before any task exceeding 25 RTs, inform Joe upfront with an estimate and let him decide. Added to Foundational Architecture and Glossary. Browser automation, multi-agent research, complex iterations all get flagged. Process gap (no consumption transparency). Now codified.
Lessons Learned
  • F-003: NEVER spawn nested claude processes — each consumes 300-500MB RAM and triggers OOM kills
  • F-004: CIV_NAME must be set in container environment — identity variables are not optional
  • F-005: Autorestart watcher needs logging enabled — empty log means no audit trail when failures occur
  • F-006: ALWAYS disclose RT cost BEFORE starting heavy tasks — 25 RT Rule is now mandatory. Browser automation is expensive (~100+ RTs). Let Joe decide where to spend the budget.
  • General: Circuit breaker: max 3 crashes per hour before hard stop (prevents API bans and runaway restart loops)
Beta Test Goal: All failures are tracked during this beta period. Findings will be shared with Witness and Aether to improve high availability across the fleet.
